Congratulations to the Allen School's first-generation class of 2022! 

We closed off the 2021-22 year by celebrating these graduates at our very first First-Gen Grad on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in the Zillow Commons. Thank you to our speakers, Magda, David, and Aerin. We'd also like to thank all the speakers from the audience for sharing words of wisdom and encouragement with the graduates, and Sonia for leading the check-in activity :) There were 11 first-gen graduates in attendance who received cords and recognition for the work they've done for UW, the Allen School, and their communities, along with what they have planned for post-grad. Thank you to all who showed up to support our graduates and to all who played a part in organizing this celebration for our community! Being the first in your family to graduate from college is an incredible achievement and we're happy that we could be part of it<3

Thank you all for coming to visit the GEN1 officers as we tabled in CSE2 (giving away carebags and taking snaps at our photobooth) and for amplifying and listening to first-gen voices at our NFGD Panel later that night!
