Vice Chair

Wazzaaap! I'm David, a fifth year majoring in CS and minoring in dance. As a first gen student coming from an immigrant family, I know all too well the institutional barriers and other challenges that come as a result. That's why we hope to create an environment where we can bring our own flair as first gen students and thrive together. I look forward to meeting you all so don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want to talk about anything else! P.S. Eman Mustefa
(she/her)

Treasurer

Hi everyone! My name is Eman and I’m a junior in the Allen School. My interests include watching a ton of Youtube, reading and boybands!! Coming into the Allen School this year was a big culture shock to me, as the first in my family to go to university and to pursue a CS degree, it was a complete and new environment for me. Learning how to navigate this new world around me is a difficult task, which I’m still working on doing. The biggest thing that helped me was my friends and knowing there were people like me, that's why I joined GEN1. Feel free to reach out about anything!Fun fact: I have an unhealthy obsession with Disney channel original movie musicals. Camp Rock, Lemonade Mouth you name it.emanm2@cs.washington.edu
